Crispy Scalloped Potatoes

Oooooo, these are exactly how everyone has previously described them. No dissatisfaction here! Used good cheese … not that crappy dried out cheddar everyone else uses. Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle and just the right amount cheesy goodness. You will not regret this delight!

Life Rice

Oh my! How wonderful! Flavors galore.asked for added chicken with a sunny-side up egg on top, in addition to the egg whites that comes with the original dish. It was superb.

Huevos Rancheros

Peachy, just peachy (no peaches though). Honestly, no complaints about the food to the service, all worth the trip. We got sat 30 mins early, the staff was kind and helpful, and the service was both timely and accommodating. Now the food... The green sauce was not spicy, it was however bright and flavorful. It reminded me of the Las Palmas enchilada sauce, which was a go-to in my household growing up. It paired well with the black beans and avocado. These three sang together wonderfully, like Boys II Men at a jr. high dance. I chose sunny-side-up eggs, which added another layer of depth. The yoke is what I like to call Chicky's All Natural Farmer Sauce. I tried the house salsa, which was really good, but also not spicy. In all fairness, the waitress told me it was not going to be spicy. The tortilla was a softer texture from the absorption of the sauces and the egg yolk and was easy to cut through. This was a welcomed surprise like when your friend stops by unannounced but it's cool because it's the one that you don't mind seeing your pile of laundry and unmade bed. The portion was a good amount of food for a brunch that held me over and didn't make me feel lethargic, how I usually fill when I beast down a breakfast burrito. This place had some class, I wanted to make sure I could walk out after and was not burrito wasted. Lastly, I can't forget the underrated Fresh Herbs of Brunch-Care. It didn't slap, but it did Rock (See what I did there? wink, wink). They added a small but important balance to the dish against all of the savory dynamics setting off your taste buds. It was a well-thought-out dish in my opinion and one I'd eagerly order again. Tip 1: If you want to fill up, consider an add-on of a side item. Tip 2: If you want to add some spice and/or sweetness, which this dish is the perfect canvas for, jalapenos or Sriracha may be the way to go as an additional request.

Chilaquiles

The best chilaquiles I have had. I have had chilaquiles at many other places, but none compared to this cafe's chilaquiles. They taste as good as the chilaquiles that my mom makes.
